Review for Religious (RR)

Review for Religious is a Catholic, peer-reviewed journal founded to promote the study of Catholic religious life and its relationship to God, the Church, and the world. Emphasizing discussions on the nature of religious life and its practice in the contemporary world, the journal features articles, invited essays, and reviews of books related to religious life. It is published three times a year and welcomes contributions from a wide variety of fields, disciplines, and perspectives. Review for Religious is published by the Conference of Major Superiors of Men with the Catholic University of America Press. The following of Christ set forth in the Gospels Faithfully holding to the characteristics, spirituality, and work of the foundational charism Sharing in the life of the Church Promoting knowledge of the social conditions of the times and needs of the Church, and Union with God through the profession of the evangelical counsels. Through its focus on these topics, the Review is a place where religious life is examined, reflected upon, and discussed. These discussions aim to foster Catholic religious life and its ongoing renewal. Review for Religious, the international journal for religious life, re-launches in June 2021 with a fresh approach, peer-reviewed content, and book reviews focused entirely on religious life and the challenges and contexts of the contemporary world. The Review is published by the Conference of Major Superiors of Men with The Catholic University of America Press. The original Review for Religious was published by the Jesuits of the Missouri Province from 1942-2012. Archived Review for Religious issues are available at St. Louis University.
