Journal Descriptions
Religion, State & Society is a leading authoritative multidisciplinary journal focusing on the interplay between religion and political and social theory and practice. The aim of the journal is to provide a site for cross-fertilisation among disciplines and perspectives on issues of current concern and to set them in their appropriate historical context. The journal encourages a comparative approach, with the intention of examining similarities and differences in the experiences of countries, regions and religions, in stability or in transition. Peer Review Statement All research articles and review articles are subject to a rigorous peer review process, based on initial Editor screening then double anonymous refereeing by a minimum of two external specialist referees. Editorials, discussions, standard introductions, afterwards and book reviews are assessed by the Editors but are not externally peer reviewed.
