The journal covers the history of the Italian Risorgimento , primarily in Tuscany, often publishing unpublished documents and inventories of archives, libraries, and museums, as well as a miscellany of shorter articles. It features reviews and news items covering most recent publications on Tuscan history , from 1737 to 1924. Founded twice a year in 1955. The periodical deals with the history of the Italian Risorgimento, in particular that of Tuscany, often including previously unpublished documents as well as inventories of archives, libraries and museums plus a miscellaneous collection of briefer articles. The section on reviews and news provides information on the most important recent publications on Tuscany history from 1737 to 1924.
