Qualitative Research in Financial Markets is dedicated to publishing research that employs qualitative methods and tools to explore contemporary issues in corporate finance and financial market behaviour across the world. The journal welcomes high quality submissions of empirical papers and analyses of methodological debates in the field. Qualitative Research in Financial Markets (QRFM) explicitly encourages methodological analyses of the issues arising from the use of qualitative methods in financial markets research as well as empirical articles addressing the following topics: The methodological underpinning of qualitative study in finance including reviews of recent developments Attempts to reform global banking systems, models and reputation Behavioural finance, both theoretical perspectives and empirical analyses Emotional finance, including the implications of unconscious influences on decision-making The role of market timing in relation to major corporate news releases Principal-agent relationships in the modern global financial environment Responses to changes in corporate governance regulations and structures Practitioner perspectives on external financing decisions Corporate communication and the transmission of price-sensitive information The effect of the sub-prime lending crisis on financial market structure and regulation. Qualitative Research in Financial Markets is associated with the newly-formed Centre for Qualitative Research in Finance (CQRF) housed at the University of Dundee.
