Journal Descriptions

Public Works Management & Policy is a peer-reviewed international journal that examines the management and policy dimensions of public works and infrastructure systems. Founded in 1996, the journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for research addressing transportation, water and wastewater systems, solid waste management, energy infrastructure, and urban public services. It integrates perspectives from engineering, public administration, and policy studies to improve planning, governance, and performance of infrastructure institutions. The journal publishes original research articles, case studies, and policy analyses focused on infrastructure finance, asset management, public–private partnerships, sustainability, resilience planning, and regulatory frameworks. It serves scholars, practitioners, and policy makers interested in evidence-based approaches to infrastructure development and service delivery. By emphasizing both technical and administrative dimensions, Public Works Management & Policy contributes to better decision-making in public works agencies and supports innovation in infrastructure policy and management across local, national, and international contexts.
