The Psychological Review is a forum that aims to make new theoretical and methodological developments from all areas of psychology accessible to a broad readership. Particular attention is given to works that reflect general theoretical and methodological standpoints and also represent provocative positions. The Psychological Review also offers the opportunity for critical discussion of new ideas in comments and replies. In addition, the integration of basic research and application is a central goal of the journal. Finally, the journal offers space for the discussion of current professional and science policy issues in its own reports section. In addition to scientific information, the Psychological Review, as the news organ of the German Society for Psychology and the Professional Association of German Psychologists, also provides the most important current news and dates.
