Journal Descriptions

Psychiatric nursing is dedicated to the professional development of the various fields of activity of nurses in psychiatry. The content is strongly related to nursing practice. Current and best possible methods are presented and support professionally sound nursing and its further development. An experienced editorial team provides impetus and enables reflection on current practice. The editors are committed to the tradition of major nursing journals, whose primary task is reflection, research and development of professional action. The aim is to foster intensive discourse with nursing professionals, related professional groups as well as with those affected and their relatives. Participation is welcome: A magazine thrives on participation. This is no different with Psychiatric Nursing. The publisher, the editorial board and the editorial team have their finger on the pulse when it comes to tracking down current topics in psychiatric nursing. In order to be able to act and react even more sensitively, we need colleagues from psychiatric nursing. Whether you work on a ward or in an outpatient setting, in a staff position or in continuing education - psychiatric nursing would be pleased to have your support. If you have an idea how a focus could be enriched, write to Christoph Müller at psychiatrische.pflege(at)hogrefe.ch . The members of the editorial board responsible for the relevant issue will then contact you.
