This journal publishes contributions relevant to both practice and research in the field of child psychology and psychiatry. It covers psychogenic and psychosomatic disorders as well as impairments in the development of children and adolescents and the psychotherapeutic treatment thereof. Included are also contributions on psychodiagnostic and sociodiagnostic methods, educational and family counseling, youth welfare services, and disabilities among children and adolescents. The journal publishes articles from practice and research that deal with psychogenic and psychosomatic disorders and impairments in the development of children and adolescents as well as their psychotherapeutic treatment. Works on psycho- and sociodiagnostic methods, educational and family counseling, youth welfare and disabilities in children and adolescents are also published. The journal was founded by A. Dührssen and W. Schwidder.
