Population & Avenir (P&A)
Journal Descriptions
Population & Avenir, a journal focusing on populations and territories, aims to improve understanding of the realities and changes taking place in France, Europe, and throughout the world, seen in the revealing light of demography and population geography. It does so by providing its readers with key elements for understanding demographic and territorial dynamics. Published five times a year, Population & Avenir, a peer-reviewed magazine, presents its readers with clear studies, analyses, reflections and arguments, illustrated by maps, graphs, diagrams... Our editorial board members work in close collaboration with the magazine's authors to rework their own analyses. The magazine mobilizes research expertise for educational purposes, providing readers with the keys they need to understand demographic and territorial dynamics. As a result, Population & Avenir contributes, through in-depth articles, to the debate on all issues relating to populations and territories. Population & Avenir uses an A4 format, large enough to allow readers to examine several computer graphics and their analysis at the same time. What's more, each issue of Population & Avenir features an educational exercise, in line with the syllabus, for teachers of history-geography and economics and social sciences, as well as pupils and students preparing for exams or competitive examinations. The exercise is amply illustrated, and includes answers to the questions asked. Some of the articles published in Population & Avenir can be purchased in digital format at https://www.cairn.info/revue-population-et-avenir.htm
