Polyhedron is a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering inorganic chemistry in its broadest sense. The journal welcomes papers in the following areas: Coordination chemistry Organometallic chemistry Main group chemistry (structure, reactivity, and dynamics) Supramolecular chemistry Chemistry of extended solids Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) Crystal engineering Composites Radiochemistry and nuclear chemistry Photovoltaics and solar energy Solid state chemistry including perovskites Catalysis Rare earths and critical/strategic metals and materials Role of metal ions in biology Metalloenzymes, metallodrugs, and biomimetic models Spectroscopic and computational studies relevant to bonding, structure, and reactivity Additional notes: Papers on organic synthesis using metal-containing or organometallic catalysts are generally not considered, unless the metal plays a special role. Inclusion of single-crystal X-ray structural data is strongly encouraged. However, papers reporting only the X-ray structure of a single compound will usually not be considered. Routine structural papers appended with medicinal properties will not be considered and returned without review. Polyhedron provides authors with rigorous peer review ensuring articles adhere to a high technical standard, with rapid decisions and a highly visible platform for scientists to share their research. The journal accepts original research articles, reviews, and communications. It does not accept notes or book reviews. Special issues commemorating individuals or current topics are published regularly and the papers in these issues, while submitted upon invitation, undergo the same peer review process as regular submissions.
