Politique européenne (PE)

This peer-reviewed journal is devoted to European studies (public policies, international relations, political sociology, and political theory). It is the leading journal for political scientists in the francophone academic field and for actors of the European Union. It publishes thematic special issues or “Varia” in French or English. Politique Européenne is a bilingual (French/English) peer-reviewed journal which publishes thematic or varia issues covering the whole field of European studies (public policy analysis, international relations, political sociology, political theory, political anthropology...). Issues also include presentations of research in progress, as well as critical or cross-readings. The journal's ambition is to become one of the key forums in French and English for scientific controversy in the field of European studies. As part of a general movement to open up French political science to the themes of European integration, and based on the observation that reference academic contributions to the political analysis of the European integration process were still largely dominated by Anglo-Saxon journals, the project of the founders of Politique européenne is articulated around several ambitions: to mark the appropriation of the EU field of investigation by political science (international relations, public policy, political sociology, political anthropology, political thought, etc.), which in recent years has been able to autonomize its analytical grids and tools from, in particular, the legal and economic sciences, to provide observers (scientists, students and journalists) and players (political, administrative and economic) in the European Union with a high-quality scientific journal that takes stock of the debates that are driving research and shedding new light on the reality of the European Union,
