Politique américaine (PA)
Journal Descriptions
Politique américaine is the only leading French-language journal devoted to the domestic political life and international strategies of the United States. Founded in 2005 by Yannick Mireur at the Choiseul Institute, it has been directed since spring 2009 by François Vergniolle de Chantal (Professor, Université Paris-Diderot) and Alexandra de Hoop Scheffer (Director of the Paris office of the German Marshall Fund ). Published by L'Harmattan since 2012, the journal operates in partnership with the Institut des Amériques and with the support of the Commission Nationale du Livre (CNL) and the German Marshall Fund . Each issue includes a main section, as well as a "Point of View" and various articles based on current events. The journal alternates between foreign policy and domestic policy issues. There are three issues per year. Its audience includes researchers, academics, journalists, public and private officials, and, more generally, anyone interested in contemporary issues in the United States. Articles are subject to anonymous review. Articles in English are translated, as the journal is entirely French-language.
