Plant Disease Research (PDR)

The Indian Society of Plant Pathologists is a professional society for promoting the science of Plant Pathology. The Society was established in May 1984 at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in the Department of Plant Pathology. The Society was registered on 19th October 1984, (Registration No. 332 of 1984-85) under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The journal Plant Disease Research (ISSN 0970-4914 for print and ISSN 2249-8788 for online) started in 1986, as a leading journal of Phytopathology and related research, which is published half yearly (June and December). It advances recent concepts in plant disease management provides information on the latest developments and research advances in plant health and participates in the exchange of information with policy makers, as well as the scientific community. The society focuses on the fields of Fungal Pathology, Bacteriology, Virology, Nematology, and allied branches. It provides a forum for scientists to interact on important issues of Plant Pathological Research, Education, and Extension. The society regularly organizes National Symposia, Seminars, and Brain Storming Sessions on emerging topics of Plant Pathology.
