Physis. International Journal for the History of Science is a biannual journal that publishes contributions, in the major European languages, on the history of science and technology, including social, material, cultural, and gender aspects, encompassing all historiographical approaches that have emerged in recent decades. All submissions are subject to a peer-review process. 1st series (1959–1985 nos. 1/2), quarterly, founded in 1959 by the «Domus Galilaeana» of Pisa, the «Inst. and Museum of the History of Science» of Florence, the «Museo Naz.le della Scienza e della Tecnica» of Milan, the «Gruppo Italiano di Storia della Scienza», and the Publishing House LS Olschki. 2nd series (1991–), semester. Physis.
