Physics Education (PE)

Physics Education focuses on research and practical developments in the teaching and learning of physics. Its scope encompasses educational research, pedagogical innovation, classroom practice, curriculum development, teacher training and physics conceptual understanding at the secondary and introductory tertiary levels. Articles typically address effective teaching strategies, including demonstrations, experiments, conceptual models, activities and use of technology to engage learners. The journal also features research reports that examine how students learn physics concepts, teacher professional development studies, assessment tools, and comparative curricular studies across educational contexts globally. It includes lesson ideas, equipment and resource reviews, along with discussions about broader issues affecting physics education, such as recruitment of students, diversity and equity in science education. As a hybrid open‑access journal, Physics Education supports both subscription and optional open‑access publication, and it aims to serve both the practitioner community of physics teachers and the research community studying physics education.
