Philosophical Papers (PP)
Journal Descriptions
Original Articles Articles appearing in regular issues are original, high-quality, and stand-alone, and are written for the general professional philosopher. Submissions are welcome in any area of philosophy and undergo a process of peer review based on initial editor screening and refereeing by (usually) two referees. Special Issues Topic-based special issues are comprised of both invited and submitted papers selected by guest editors. Ideas for future special issues are welcome. Re-Readings and Book Reviews Philosophical Papers occasionally publishes re-readings, in which authors write on an older article, book, or book chapter that they deem to deserve renewed attention. Unsolicited re-readings of 4000-7000 words in length are welcome. Authors interested in submitting more traditional reviews of recent books should approach the editors in the first instance.
