Pflege is a scientific journal for health and nursing in the German-speaking area. It contributes to the development of nursing science and the quality of nursing in practice. The journal sees itself as a comprehensive forum in which the rapidly developing areas of nursing research, theory and practice as well as the management, ethics, history and politics of nursing can be discussed. Pflege publishes articles in German or English that are highly relevant to practice, research, theory, education, ethics, history, politics and management in nursing in German-speaking countries. Manuscripts that do not relate to nursing in German-speaking countries will be rejected. Pflege follows international standards of quality-assured journals. The manuscripts are reviewed by independent external reviewers. Regularly updated author guidelines guide the authors in the preparation of manuscripts. The manuscripts are processed via a web-based review system. Pflege is PubMed-indexed and has an impact factor.
