Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystems (PMHE)
Journal Descriptions
Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystems (PMHE) is an international biannual research journal published by the Association for Advancement of Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystems and hosted at the Division of Crop Protection, ICAR‑Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, India. The journal has been in continuous publication since 1994, making it a long‑standing forum for scholarly work in pest ecology and management within horticultural systems. It accepts original research papers, short research notes, and review articles on a wide range of topics related to pest management, including ecological studies, population dynamics, host‑plant resistance, biological control methods, insecticide resistance, and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies. PMHE emphasizes practical and scientifically rigorous studies that can enhance sustainable pest control practices for horticultural crops such as fruits, vegetables, spices, ornamentals and medicinal plants. Each volume consists of two issues per year (January‑June and July‑December), and all accepted articles are open access, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution‑Non‑Commercial‑Share Alike 4.0. The journal plays an important role in disseminating research findings to scientists, extension workers, and agricultural stakeholders involved in plant protection and horticultural production.
