Perspectives in Medicinal Chemistry (PMC)
Journal Descriptions
Perspectives in Medicinal Chemistry was an international peer reviewed open access journal dedicated to research and review articles in medicinal chemistry and drug development. The journal provided a platform for scientists working in pharmaceutical research, organic synthesis, molecular pharmacology, computational chemistry, and therapeutic discovery. It focused on the design, synthesis, optimization, and biological evaluation of bioactive compounds with potential clinical applications. The journal published original investigations and review articles covering topics such as structure activity relationships, molecular modeling, combinatorial chemistry, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, enzyme inhibition, receptor targeting, and lead compound development. It also emphasized translational approaches connecting chemical research with therapeutic innovation in areas including cancer, infectious diseases, cardiovascular disorders, neurological diseases, and metabolic conditions. Originally published by Libertas Academica and later associated with SAGE Publications, the journal supported open access scientific communication and contributed to interdisciplinary collaboration between chemists, pharmacologists, and biomedical researchers. Archived articles remain available through several scientific repositories and indexing services.
