The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography (PMHB) is the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s scholarly magazine, published since 1877. PMHB publishes original research or interpretation concerning the social, cultural, political, economic, and ethnic history of Pennsylvania, or work situating Pennsylvania history within comparative regional or international contexts. PMHB is a benefit of membership in HSP and is also available to individual and institutional subscribers. The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography (PMHB) is the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s scholarly magazine, published since 1877. PMHB publishes original research or interpretation concerning the social, cultural, political, economic, and ethnic history of Pennsylvania, or work situating Pennsylvania history within comparative regional or international contexts. PMHB is available to Friends of HSP at Researcher level and above and is also available to individual and institutional subscribers. Members of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania receive the journal as a benefit of membership.
