Papers in Education and Development is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the analysis of educational and developmental issues from a multidisciplinary point of view. The journal is devoted to studying the interrelation between education and development in Africa as essential for addressing local challenges, promoting cultural sensitivity, and contributing to the achievement of broader international goals in the interrelated realms of education and development. Papers in Education and Development (PED) is an international peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the University of Dar es Salaam School of Education. Since its inception in 1975, the journal has provided a critical platform for scholarly dialogue on issues related to education and development, with a particular focus on education systems, policies, and practices in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. PED encourages original and innovative research that explores the intersections of education and development across all educational levels, from early childhood education to tertiary and vocational education, including adult and non-formal education.
