PALOBRA, a word that works , is a scientific journal of the University of Cartagena, specializing in interdisciplinary social sciences. It is published semiannually (January-June and July-December). Its objective is to contribute to the popularization of knowledge about the social sciences that the national and international academic and scientific community has built, thus contributing to the public debate in this area. This journal publishes original and unpublished articles, research results, reflections, and reviews, mainly on topics related to social work, social communication, sociology, anthropology, educational sciences, political science, psychology, as well as gender, family, socioecosystems, and urban planning. PALOBRA, word that works , is a biannual (January-June and July-December) peer-reviewed journal published since 2000 by the University of Cartagena, Colombia. The journal's main objective is to contribute to the popularization of knowledge about the social sciences built by the national and international academic and scientific community, thus contributing to the public debate in this field. PALOBRA, word that works , publishes original and unpublished articles, research results, reflections, and reviews in thematic areas of the interdisciplinary social sciences. Its publications are aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, academics, and professionals in the social sciences at both national and international levels. It also welcomes articles in Spanish and English that present original contributions in the journal's area of interest.
