Pactum (Pactum)
Journal Descriptions
Pactum launches a journal that aims to explore the field of contract law in all its nuances and nuances: from the general nature of the contract to its articulation into the types and subtypes of contracts that business practice continually refines or constructs; from the institution's discipline, as outlined in the Civil Code—which, in 2022, celebrates its 80th anniversary—to the various sources that enrich its regulation, reflecting an increasingly intricate complexity; from the structure and content of the relationship to which the contract gives rise, to the contexts of interference with relational spheres that cannot, strictly speaking, be considered contractual in origin but which significantly mimic the characteristic features of contract law. Pactum's aim is to build a laboratory of ideas and experiences that, within a context of reflection (necessarily) open to the perspectives of European Union law, offers a key to interpreting the evolution of contract law, attentive to doctrinal categories as well as the debate in case law. This tool—to borrow some of the words Italo Calvino gave us as guidelines for the third millennium—combines speed, accuracy, multiplicity, and coherence, thus also meeting the information and in-depth needs of those working in the legal profession: needs that the website's publication format clearly lends itself to meeting particularly effectively. To achieve such challenging goals as those mentioned, a particularly cohesive and motivated working group is required: precisely that of the young scholars who make up the site's editorial staff and who constitute its constantly active driving force.
