Organic communications is a journal of synthetic organic chemistry, polymer synthesis and properties, and theoretical studies in Organic Chemistry. The journal publishes scientific and technical contributions in the form of review articles, original articles, short communications, discussion and position papers, book reviews, as well as other information on all aspects relevant to synthetic and semisynthetic organic chemistry, new applications in other areas, such as pharmaceutical studies. In determining the suitability of submitted articles for publication, particular attention is given to the extent of novelty and significance added to the existing knowledge in organic chemistry. On the other hand, manuscripts describing routine synthesis of limited amounts of analogs without any biological assessment or application are generally not published unless new developments are described, providing clear and quantifiable advantages over existing methods.
