Norsk museumstidsskrift (The Norwegian Museum Journal) is an open access scientific journal, free to all and available online only. The journal is a leading interdisciplinary channel for publication within the museum sector. It encompasses the range of research at museums of cultural history, art history and natural history in Norway. It also gives space to research from the higher education sector that is relevant to museums in museology, art history, cultural history, archeology, anthropology, history, conservation and other applicable subjects. Norsk museumstidsskrift (The Norwegian Museum Journal) publishes peer-reviewed scientific articles, book reviews, critical essays and reviews of exhibitions. The journal is aimed at researchers and other employees in museums and the higher education sector, employees and decision-makers in public administration, students, journalists, as well as the generally curious, both inside and outside Norway. Norsk museumstidsskrift (The Norwegian Museum Journal) was established in 2015. The journal is published by Scandinavian University Press on behalf of The Association of Norwegian Museums, and with the support of Nasjonalt tidsskriftkonsortium for humaniora og samfunnsvitenskap.
