Norsk antropologisk tidsskrift is a forum for imparting research and expression of opinion within social anthropology. It is aimed at researchers (anthropologists and other social scientists), students and other interested readers. The journal publishes original, empiric and comparatively based articles, debate contributions, book reviews, film reviews and the like. The journal only publishes reviews of work related to Norwegian anthropological research, or Nordic / international anthropological research with Norwegian contribution or relevance. It publishes four volumes per year in two single issues and one double. From 2017, the journal is published open access. The journal is owned by the Norwegian Anthropological Association and is published by Scandinavian University Press with funding from Nasjonalt tidsskriftkonsortium for humaniora og samfunnsvitenskap.
