Nordisk kulturpolitisk tidsskrift (NKT)

The Nordic Journal of Cultural Policy is an open access scientific journal. It started in 1998 and is owned by the Centre for Cultural Policy Research, the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, University of Borås. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles that present research on cultural policy, along with commentary articles and reviews. It accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published nor are being assessed for publication in another journal. The journal is published twice a year. It does not ask for any fees for assessment of publication. Aims: · to contribute to developing research on cultural policy, both empirically and theoretically. to be a key publishing channel for Nordic and international researchers in cultural policy studies. to disseminate relevant cultural policy research and information to audiences in public administrations, cultural institutions, the media, and other organisations. to encourage and stimulate debates on issues of cultural policy trough peer-reviewed articles as well as commentary articles and reviews. Scope: The scope of the journal is two-fold. The first is a focus on the geographical area of the Nordic countries. We also welcome contributions that are relevant for the Nordic region or comparing the Nordic region with other areas. The second focus is thematic: the articles should focus on cultural policy including sub-areas or specific art forms such as cultural heritage, creative industries, libraries etc. Both explicit and implicit cultural policy is included in this scope, and so is a wide range of policy agents as well as contemporary and historical topics.
