Nordisk barnehageforskning (NBF)

Nordic Kindergarten Research (NBF) publishes original articles of high scientific quality that develop and strengthen the conversation about kindergartens and kindergarten teacher education in the Nordic region. NBF is a focal point for kindergarten research in the Nordic region, with a broad thematic and methodological orientation. The journal contributes to the visibility of Nordic kindergarten research by connecting it to larger networks in the Nordic region and in a broader international context. Since its establishment, the journal has had up to 60,000 annual downloads. Nordic Kindergarten Research is a digital journal with open access for all interested parties. Publication is carried out continuously through efficient, transparent and professional peer review processes. NBF contributes with responsible subject editors and peers who provide constructive, thorough and objective peer reviews. To guarantee high scientific quality, NBF conducts single-blind peer review. The identity of the authors is known to the peers, while the peers will remain anonymous to the authors during the review period. If a peer recommends rejection or withdraws during any step of this process, the peer's name will not be revealed. In recognition of the contribution of the subject editors, their names will be published in the published article.
