Journal Descriptions
The journal was established in 2014 as Nordisk politiforskning/Nordic Journal of Studies in Policing. From 2020 the journal changed name to Nordic Journal of Studies in Policing and publishes contributions only in English. Nordic Journal of Studies in Policing (NJSP) presents and publishes new knowledge and research in the field of police research, police science and policing in the Nordic countries. The journals main aim is to contribute to the development of the field of police research, as well as the spread of relevant research within academia, among practitioners, managers, the education system, the authorities and the media. The NJSP shall have an independent critical role in the subject development and aims at strengthening the academic quality of the academic field, as well as publish articles by practitioners who conduct research on their own field.
