Nigerian Journal of Chemical Research (NJCR)
Journal Descriptions
The Nigerian Journal of Chemical Research seeks to disseminate results of research in all branches of chemistry including Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, Physical and various areas of chemistry in application. The journal, which will be published once a year, acceptsfull research papers, short communications and letters on condition that they make original and new contribution to knowledge in the respective areas of chemistry. The main objective of the journal is to promote scientific advancement and innovation in chemical research, particularly within Nigeria and other developing regions. It serves as a platform for researchers from universities, research institutes, and industries to present findings that address local and global scientific challenges. Typical studies include synthesis of new chemical compounds, analysis of environmental pollutants, development of industrial processes, characterization of materials, and investigation of reaction mechanisms. The journal is intended to strengthen chemical education and research output in Nigeria by encouraging high-quality, peer-reviewed publications. It also supports capacity building among early-career researchers and postgraduate students in chemical sciences. Over time, it has contributed to the dissemination of indigenous scientific knowledge and fostered collaboration between Nigerian chemists and the international scientific community.
