New Perspectives (NP)
Journal Descriptions
New Perspectives is a peer‑reviewed international academic journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research in politics and international relations, particularly with regard to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and its global political implications. Established in its current form in 2015 (with historical roots going back to 1993), the journal serves as a scholarly forum for advancing innovative theoretical frameworks, rigorous empirical studies, and methodologically diverse approaches to political phenomena. The journal welcomes original research articles that deepen understanding of international affairs, comparative politics, security studies, political sociology, and international political economy through both regional and global lenses. Contributions often explore the intersection of CEE politics with broader geopolitical issues, including governance, conflict, migration, identity politics, and integration within European and global structures. It also publishes review essays, commentaries, interviews, and creative scholarly formats that push disciplinary boundaries and stimulate critical thought. Operated under a rigorous blind peer‑review process, New Perspectives is committed to methodological rigor, theoretical innovation, and intellectual pluralism. It aims to bridge academic scholarship with policy‑relevant insights, making it a valued resource for scholars, policymakers, and students in international relations and political science worldwide.
