Nanotoxicology (Nanotoxicology)
Journal Descriptions
Nanotoxicology publishes peer-reviewed research relating to the hazards, exposure, and risks associated with nano-structured materials during their life cycle. The Journal welcomes submissions studying the toxicity of any natural, anthropogenic, engineered material with at least one dimension in the nanometer size range (1-100nm), including: nanoparticles nanomaterials (including high aspect ratio nanomaterials (HARN) and fibres) nanomedicines (there must be a strong safety or toxicology component for manuscripts focused on these materials) nano-surfaces of larger materials nanocomposites advanced materials PM 10 and PM 2.5 microplastics and nanoplastics. The selection of the test materials used in research studies should be justified by the authors and the physicochemical properties of ‘as produced/supplied’ materials as well as dispersions of the materials in relevant biological media should be well characterized.
