Journal Descriptions

The journal Negotiations is a peer-reviewed academic journal (double-blind evaluation) that covers formal and informal negotiations as well as related processes (conflict, deliberation or joint decisions), considering negotiation as an ordinary practice of social life. The aim is to focus on the social interactions of actors confronted with (real or supposed) differences to be overcome, or common interests to be agreed upon. The activity of negotiation, deliberation, conflict management or joint decision-making must be at the heart of the articles submitted to the journal: it cannot be a mere secondary or contextual element. The journal aims to publish articles that give a detailed account of negotiation processes and outcomes, in relation to the practices and actors involved in negotiation, and the contexts in which they take place. Articles should contribute to enriching the theory, concepts or knowledge of a field or field/case of study.
