Since its founding, the journal Music, Dance and Art Therapy has made a decisive contribution to presenting possible applications as well as special features and similarities of artistic therapy. The journal contains articles that show how the language of the non-verbal medium can be used in a target-oriented and expedient manner. The journal brings together articles on the theory and application of the various artistic forms of therapy. Articles on methodological developments and empirical results as well as reports from practice are supplemented by case studies and critical literature analyses. The journal Music, Dance and Art Therapy (ISSN 0933-6885) was published quarterly by Hogrefe Verlag between 1990 and 2015.
