Mouvements (Mouvements)
Journal Descriptions
Founded in 1998 by Gilbert Wasserman, Mouvements is a quarterly magazine published by Editions La Découverte and a website. Mouvements fuels social, cultural and political debate from a resolutely left-wing perspective. Can researchers, journalists and activists work together to describe the social world and contribute to the debate on ideas? This is the challenge taken up by Mouvements: to create a space for critical information, social investigation, theoretical work and political questioning, in order to intensify exchanges between research, proposals and resistance. Against the backdrop of an unprecedented crisis in the general press and human science journals, Mouvements intends to combine rigor and responsiveness to respond to the major debates of the moment. In this way, Mouvements remains faithful to its mission: to offer a counter-hegemonic space for a demanding and critical left.
