Founded in 1980 by the Association for the Study of Modern & Contemporary France (ASMCF), Modern & Contemporary France is a global peer-reviewed journal, offering a scholarly view of all aspects of France and the French-speaking world from 1789 to the present day. It is a multi-disciplinary journal, drawing particularly on the work of scholars in history, politics, literary, cultural and post-colonial studies, film and media studies, and the social sciences. The Editors welcome submissions with a transnational or comparative dimension, including articles addressing aspects of France's relations with the wider world.
