Since its first appearance as a journal of textual criticism in 1852, Mnemosyne has secured a position as one of the leading journals in its field worldwide. Mnemosyne welcomes contributions on any subject related to Greco-Roman Antiquity, including ancient history, philosophy and archaeology, provided that they have a clearly recognizable textual foundation. While Mnemosyne primarily features contributions written in English, submissions in French and German are also welcome. European Science Foundation Ranking A. In previous years, the acceptance rate for Mnemosyne has been 40% on average. The typical turnaround time from submission to final decision (accept/reject/revise) is approximately 6 months. The time between submission and publication online (as an ‘Advance article’) is usually 14 months in total. Following online publication, it takes around 4-6 months before an article also appears in a print issue of Mnemosyne. The Mnemosyne board strives for efficiency in the reviewing and editing process, but we are, of course, dependent on the time and goodwill of our reviewers.
