Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE)
Journal Descriptions
Mind, Brain, and Education is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal established in 2007 as the official publication of the International Mind, Brain, and Education Society and published by Wiley-Blackwell / John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The journal provides a dedicated interdisciplinary forum for research that bridges biology and education, focusing on how neural and cognitive processes influence learning and development and how educational practice can inform cognitive and brain research. It publishes original empirical reports, theoretical reviews, and commentary that deepen understanding of learning across the lifespan, including typically developing and special-needs populations. Topics include cognitive and developmental psychology, neuroscience-informed pedagogy, motivation, emotion, memory, attention, plasticity, and educational interventions grounded in scientific evidence. As a quarterly publication with both print (ISSN 1751-2271) and online (E-ISSN 1751-228X) versions, the journal attracts contributions from researchers, educators, and clinicians interested in grounding educational theory and practice in rigorous science. It has been recognized for fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue and advancing the emerging field of mind, brain, and education science — an area that connects laboratory research with classroom applications and aims to improve learning outcomes through a deeper understanding of human cognition and brain function.
