Millennium: Journal of International Studies (MJIS)
Journal Descriptions
Millennium: Journal of International Studies is an influential peer-reviewed academic journal based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and published by SAGE Publications. It serves as a forum for critical, theoretical, and innovative scholarship in international relations and the broader social sciences with a global perspective. The journal encourages boundary-pushing work that challenges conventional narratives in international studies, welcomes contributions from research students, early-career scholars, and established academics, and promotes intellectual pluralism and diversity in scholarly debates. It is distinctive in being edited largely by postgraduate students — offering an opportunity for doctoral and postgraduate researchers to shape scholarly discussions in the field. Millennium features regular issues along with special themed issues arising from its Annual Millennium Symposium, a forum for cutting-edge discussions on contemporary global and theoretical issues in international studies. Across its triannual publishing schedule, the journal includes research articles, discussion pieces, and review essays that articulate new theoretical perspectives and engage with complex global challenges.
