Journal Descriptions

Medicinski Pregled (Medical Review) is a long-standing peer-reviewed biomedical journal published by the Society of Physicians of Vojvodina in Serbia. Established in 1948, it has been continuously published since the early 1950s and is considered one of the important regional medical journals in Southeast Europe. The journal covers a broad spectrum of medical sciences, including clinical medicine, experimental research, public health, and case-based clinical studies. It serves as a platform for physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to publish original scientific contributions, review articles, case reports, and historical perspectives in medicine. The journal is published in both Serbian and English languages, with abstracts often provided in English to increase international accessibility. It follows a peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and relevance. Medicinski Pregled is indexed in several databases including Index Medicus, Medline, and regional scientific indexing systems, which enhances its visibility in the global academic community. The journal is issued regularly, typically on a monthly or double-issue basis, depending on the volume schedule. Over decades of publication, it has contributed significantly to medical education, research dissemination, and clinical practice development in Serbia and the wider Balkan region.
