Journal Descriptions

Materials and Emerging Technologies for Sustainability (METS) focuses on publishing content that is relevant to current industrial practices and addresses grand challenges or societal needs, with potential impacts beyond academic research innovation. METS encourages translational research about sustainable functional materials for engineering and emerging technologies, for instance, material properties, materials science, renewable resources, biodegradable polymers, eco-friendly alternatives, and energy. In which, materials informatics are areas of interest and are predicted to be explosive research in the future. In addition, a broader scope of research includes green technology and sustainable solutions, sustainability communications, smart technology (design, additive manufacturing, information technology, artificial and system intelligence), emerging materials and devices, renewable energy, fuel, and clean combustion are also focused. METS provides a unique venue for exchanging scientific and technical advances in order to speed up the applied process of industrial production, energy circulation, etc. toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Also, METS accelerates the expansion of innovative entities in a multitude of emerging fields based on global technology trends, environmental responsibility, and societal impact.
