Magyar Terminológia (MT)
Journal Descriptions
**Magyar Terminológia** was a scholarly journal dedicated to Hungarian terminology studies, focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of terminology development, lexicography, and linguistic standardization. Established in 2008, the journal aimed to serve as a platform for researchers, linguists, and professionals engaged in terminology work, providing insights into Hungarian and international terminological research. It was published by Berzsenyi Dániel Főiskola, which later became part of ELTE Savaria Egyetemi Központ. The journal featured peer-reviewed articles in Hungarian and English, addressing topics such as term formation, domain-specific terminologies, multilingual terminology management, and the role of terminology in translation and language policy. It provided a venue for discussions on best practices in terminology science, the influence of technology on terminology, and the challenges of adapting terminologies in a rapidly evolving linguistic landscape. Under the editorial leadership of **Ágota Fóris**, a professor at **Károli Gáspár Református Egyetem**, the journal gained recognition in academic and professional circles. The editorial office was based in Budapest. Although **Magyar Terminológia** ceased publication after Volume 6 in 2013, its contributions to the field remain valuable for scholars and professionals working in Hungarian and international terminology research.
