As of May, 2006, the Societas Magica became affiliated with the new journal, Magic, Ritual and Witchcraft issued by the University of Pennsylvania Press. A serious, rigorously peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Magic, Ritual, and Witchcraft draws from a broad spectrum of perspectives, methods, and disciplines, offering the widest possible geographical scope and chronological range, from prehistory to the modern era and from the Old World to the New. Members of the Societas may choose to have journal subscriptions included as part of the Societas Magica dues. A rigorously peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Magic, Ritual, and Witchcraft draws from a broad spectrum of perspectives, methods, and disciplines, offering the widest possible geographical scope and chronological range, from prehistory to the modern era and from every inhabited continent. In addition to original research, the journal features book reviews, discussion forums, and translations of materials relevant to magic studies.
