Maal og Minne (MM)

Maal og Minne aims to contribute to the elucidation of, among other things, the Norwegian language and Norwegian language memories of all kinds, medieval literature, Norwegian place names and folk memories. Contributions to the journal are assessed by the editors and by independent consultants (referees). Maal og Minne is published with two issues a year, and prints articles and reviews in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, English and German. Maal og Minne is published by Bymålslaget and was founded in 1909 by Magnus Olsen, who edited it until 1950. From 1951 to 1967 it was edited by Trygve Knudsen and Ludvig Holm-Olsen, from 1968 to 1984 by Ludvig Holm-Olsen and Einar Lundeby, from 1985 to 1993 by Einar Lundeby and Bjarne Fidjestøl, in 1994 by Einar Lundeby, in 1995 by Einar Lundeby and Odd Einar Haugen, from 1996 to 2005 by Kjell Ivar Vannebo and Odd Einar Haugen, and from 2006 onwards by Lars S. Vikør and Jon Gunnar Jørgensen. By agreement with the City Planning Association, Maal og Minne is now published by Novus Forlag. The volumes you find on scup.com are published by Samlaget.
