Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology (LPV)
Journal Descriptions
Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology is a well-established, energetic and enterprising Journal with a proud record of innovation and excellence over the past 30 years. It has been at the centre of interdisciplinary and international research endeavours in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, including but not limited to biology, electronics and computer science, health sciences, linguistics, physics and psychology; with a broad range of aims that continues to drive the Journal’s agenda. Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology contributes to “a productive movement away from earlier surface descriptions” in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences “towards a search for underlying systems disorders” (Tatham and Morton 2011: 245), using evidence-based knowledge. It is the only journal that has the word Vocology in its name and has served a community of scientists and practitioners, that study vocalisation (human and animal) and voice habilitation (Titze and Verdolini-Abbott 2012).
