Liver International Communications is a peer-reviewed, open access publication that covers all aspects of the science of hepatology, including basic, genetic, translational and clinical research. The primary goal of Liver International Communications is to facilitate access to high-quality research findings that pertain to hepatology and other fields of life sciences involving the liver. It is a broad scope resource for everyone working on normal and abnormal structure and function of the liver. Liver International Communications covers international liver cancer research, clinical trial results from all phases (including important confirmatory studies and negative studies), public health, epidemiological, clinical, translational, genetic and basic studies, as well as studies that facilitate the understanding of regional differences in hepatological findings. The journal welcomes articles from all fields of hepatology (steatotic liver disease, viral hepatitis, immune-mediated disorders, cholestatic disorders, genetic and rare disorders, cirrhosis, liver cancer), which may be published as original articles, brief definitive reports, reviews, mini-reviews, images in hepatology, research letters and letters to the Editor.
