Libyan Medical Journal (LMJ) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that encompasses all fundamental and clinical aspects of medical sciences, with an emphasis on the clinical and disease-oriented studies. Scope of the journal includes: Medicine, nursing and allied health sciences, pharmacy, pathology, anatomy, pharmacology, toxicology, surgery and physiology, as well as medicine. The journal is supported by the Libyan Board of Medical Specialties, who covers the cost of publication on behalf of the authors on acceptance of their article.The journal was formerly known as the Jamahiriya Medical Journal (JMJ) and was later revived and restructured under its current title. It is published by the Libyan Board of Medical Specialties, Tripoli, Libya, and operates through an online journal system.
