Lernen und Lernstörungen (LL)
Journal Descriptions
Learning and Learning Disorders is the first journal in the German-speaking world that specializes in the topics of learning and the associated learning disorders and is dedicated to linking basic research and practice. The focus of the journal is on the interface between neuroscience and educational science. Learning and Learning Disorders is an interdisciplinary communication platform for exchange between disciplines such as medicine, psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, pedagogy, special education and German and mathematics didactics. The journal prepares important research findings in such a way that they are understandable and applicable for practitioners in relevant disciplines. Central topics are learning and development processes, their impairments, and methods of support and therapy. The focus extends beyond childhood and adolescence to the entire lifespan and explicitly includes emotional and social functions in addition to cognitive ones. All examination methods, such as behavioral, neurocognitive or imaging methods, are welcome. Study participants can be healthy people as well as people with developmental and acquired disorders. The journal publishes original articles, review articles and case studies in German and English. The direct or indirect relevance (for diagnosis, therapy, school setting, family, etc.) of these works should be explicitly communicated to the readership.
