This journal aims to use philosophy as a point of departure, but in a multidisciplinary context involving all the other social sciences, in order to analyze and problematize the major questions—ethical, political, theoretical, and educational—that are being discussed in the fields of education and training. The aim of the journal is to provide philosophy of education with an editorial space for its own theoretical development. The aim is to define an autonomous field of research that will enable us to approach the key issues in education today from new angles. Over the course of each issue, there is an ongoing dialogue between history, sociology, psychoanalysis, political philosophy, child psychology and educational science, literature and classical philosophy. Why Le Télémaque? By reference to Fénelon's work composed between 1694 and 1696 for the instruction of the Duke of Burgundy, whose position might seem exemplary to us. The form borrows from the Ancients - Homer, Virgil - the best they had to offer at the end of the 17th century, but at the same time all the themes of a nascent modernity are present: contemporaries were not mistaken. From the outset, the book enjoyed considerable success in France and abroad (more than a dozen translations in the XVIIIth century), and right up to the end of the XIXth century, it was an essential reference for any reflection on education, from Rousseau's Émile (1762) to Joseph Jacotot's Manuel de l'émancipation intellectuelle (1841), a project for social and popular education. Since 1998, the magazine has been published by Presses Universitaires de Caen, who are responsible for its production, management, distribution and promotion. The magazine publishes 2 issues a year. Each issue includes a special report and columns specific to the magazine.
