Le Regard Libre (RL)

A new think-tank was to emerge on the journalistic and intellectual scene in French-speaking Switzerland, one that would not so much inform its readers as provide them with food for thought. To offer analysis, debate and insight into little-reported aspects of reality and the life of ideas. This medium, which appeared in 2014, is Le Regard Libre. Free, because independent. Independent of any major press group, publisher, patron or advertiser, independent of buzzwords and ready-made ideas, independent of political or denominational camps, independent of the moral pressures of society, independent of the din of current affairs. Independent, too, of the routine that a salary instills, because our team is 100% voluntary and committed by conviction, be it the editorial team or the members of the association Le Regard Libre, which publishes the medium of the same name and is recognized as a public utility by the Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel. One constant guides us: the need for open and serious reasoning. With us, discover the ideas that clash, the observers who give meaning to what surrounds us, the artists who sublimate our daily lives.
